Joe Biden is not Barack Obama and many black men are fed up with comparisons.
After four years of racist rhetoric, Donald Trump is now 57 percentage points with black voters, according to FiveThirtyEight – which is bad, yes, but it’s a 15 point improvement from where it was in 2016 .
Why would black men, who are often the targets of unarmed police shootings, unemployment and systemic inequalities in America, support a president who is racist and wants more racist so-called policing policies? To try and answer that question, I went to the epicenter of the Black Men’s Shelter: a mainline barbershop in West Philadelphia on a busy Saturday.
