COVID vaccines work. Really good. Isolated infections from vaccinated individuals and a half-baked, unpaired study don’t change that.
And the vaccines are safe, despite reports that a very small number of women – six out of tens of millions – suffer from blood clots after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. On Tuesday, the United States Food and Drug Administration recommended that states suspend administration of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine while the agency looks into the clotting problem.
The apparently alarming news has arrived quickly in recent days. A man also contracted COVID after being vaccinated in April, according to the New York Post. “It’s crazy and we need answers,” said a family member of the patient.
