Biden COVID task force pick Zeke Emanuel published op-ed claiming everyone should die at age 75 – Dateway

Eugenicist Ezekiel Emanuel is expected to join administration Biden as a member of the COVID-19 task force, despite writing an op-ed claiming people are expected to die at age 75.

In his 2014 Atlantic The article, titled “Why I hope to die at age 75,” the brother of former Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel explained why 75 is a “good enough age to try to quit.”

Emanuel’s hope that everyone adopts their arbitrary expectancy is made clear in his caption: “An argument that society and families – and you – will be better off if nature takes its course quickly and quickly.”

The architect of Obamacare wrote that after 75 years people are just trying to “cheat death”.

I’m talking about the length of I want to live and the type and amount of health care I will provide after 75 years. vitamins and supplements, all in a valiant effort to stave off death and prolong as long as possible. It has become so pervasive that it now defines a cultural type: what I call the American immortal.

I reject this aspiration. I think this maniacal desperation to prolong indefinitely is misguided and potentially destructive. For many reasons, 75 is a good enough age to try to quit.

Emanuel, a self-proclaimed “bioethicist” (newspeak for “eugenicist”), also claimed that once he turns 75 he will not accept -saving or -prolonging treatments unless they are needed to prevent pain.

Get back in the game, jump on our big store sale now!

At 75 and beyond, I’ll need a good reason to even see the doctor and have a medical test or treatment, just as routine and painless. And that good reason is not: “It will prolong your life”. I will stop having preventive tests, screenings or regular procedures. I will only accept palliative – not curative – treatment if I have pain or some other disability.

That means colonoscopies and other cancer screening tests are out – and before 75. If I was diagnosed with cancer now, at 57, I would probably be treated, unless the prognosis is very bad. But 65 will be my last colonoscopy. No screening for prostate cancer at any age. (When a urologist gave me a PSA test even after I said I wasn’t interested and me with the results, I hung up before he could tell me. ordered the test for himself, I told him, not for me.) After 75 years, if I develop cancer, I will refuse treatment. Likewise, no cardiac stress test. No pacemaker and certainly no implantable defibrillator. No heart valve replacement or bypass surgery. If I develop emphysema or a similar condition that involves frequent exacerbations that would normally take me to the hospital, I will accept treatment to improve the discomfort caused by the feeling of suffocation, but I will refuse to be transported. .

“At 75, I will have lived a full life,” Emanuel wrote, adding, “Dying at 75 will not be a tragedy.”

The news of Emanuel joining Biden’s COVID team has been criticized by conservatives on Twitter, who have revealed how his bizarre predilection for dying prematurely contradicts trying to save lives from the coronavirus.

Others also pointed out that Biden is currently 77 years old.

While Biden is far from officiating as president-elect, his pick of deaf-tone Emanuel is what we’d expect from disconnected liberal elites pulling his strings.
