Boston doctor says he almost had to be INTUBATED after suffering severe allergic reaction to Moderna Covid vaccine – Dateway

Boston doctor said he suffered one of the worst allergic reactions he has ever experienced after receiving Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine, following a series of similar cases resulting from Pfizer’s vaccine .

Dr Hossein Sadrzadeh, a hematology and oncology researcher at Boston Medical Center, received the drug on Christmas Eve. The health worker, who suffers from a severe shellfish allergy, said his heart began to race after taking the vaccine. Initially, he believed his increase in heart rate was due to anxiety he had about jab, stemming from reports of serious medical episodes that occurred after people with allergies were injected with the coronavirus vaccine. from Pfizer.

However, he soon realized that he was suffering from something far more dangerous. Within minutes, Sadrzadeh’s tongue and throat began to tingle and go numb, a reaction he associated with his shellfish allergy. More worryingly, her blood pressure then dropped so low that it was not even detectable with a monitor.

Dr Fauci received the COVID-19 vaccine, but he appears to have pain in the arm opposite to the one who received the vaccine.

Fortunately, the doctor had brought his own EpiPen, which he self-administered before hospital staff took him to the emergency room. He received several medications, including steroids and Benadryl. An account of his visit to the hospital indicated that he had been admitted to the emergency room for “Shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitations and numbness after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.”

Friday morning he said he felt normal. But the doctor seemed to suggest that the episode could have been much more heartbreaking if he hadn’t prepared for the worst.

“I think if I didn’t have my EpiPen with me, I would be intubated right now, because it was so bad”, he said, adding it was the worst allergic reaction he’s had since he was 11.

The doctor said he now recommends people with allergies to receive the vaccine in a hospital setting, instead of getting it from a local clinic or provider.

“I knew the symptoms. I had the experience. I was a doctor and I was afraid of death. Imagine someone who doesn’t have the information, “ he noted. Sadrzadeh offered Moderna a blood sample in an effort to help the company identify which ingredient in the vaccine may have triggered the allergic reaction.

“I really don’t want anybody to go through this and go through this event that I had,” he said.

The disturbing case is the first of its kind to be linked to the Moderna jab. Officials from the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating at least six cases of serious allergic reactions occurring in people who have taken the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. However, it remains to be determined whether an ingredient in the vaccine is responsible for the health episodes.
