By its stripes I am healed
Holy heavenly father, you sacrificed so much to be here
You gave us the gift of life and a huge world to take charge of
You gave us everything on earth that we would need to survive
After molding the Earth and breathing the breath of life
Lord let your promise be revealed
Because by his stripes I am healed
Over thirty-nine scratches, he suffered the most
Yet he could have simply called on the father above or the Holy Spirit.
But he endured pain and suffering for his people to be healed of their sins
He suffered from the scratches, so our diseases will no longer be
The Blood of Jesus represents his spirit
Scratched from her crippled and weakened body from head to toe
His pain, his sufferings healed me and cast out every evil spirit of sickness
Just as the spirit of Jesus lives in me, so does the power of healing.
So by its stripes, I am healed, my soul is strongly perfumed with the glory of God
He’s not a weakling.
So teach me Lord, teach me to believe in myself. Teach me to control my healing
Teach me to have the strong power of faith to drive away all disease
Teach me to have hope and to drive out despair.
I can feel his presence in me strong and real
For I believe that by his stripes we are healed.

Clive,
It’s amazing that he is going through this pain for us … but he did.
Luckily we have to turn to him when times are dark
I believe in the power of healing. I was anointed with oil in my church before gamma knife surgery on my brain.
It’s not a common thing for my church, but it really helped me.
Not immediately … but a few days before the procedure, I became calm. Then I wasn’t even scared during the treatment which lasted for hours … from morning until night.
So believe … it really works.

I’m not a terribly religious man, but I admire everyone who has that kind of faith. All I can say is that something, or someone, saved me from myself fourteen years ago, and I’m eternally grateful.
