The organizer of a sex party to break the lockout in the EU capital, involving around 25 men, claimed politicians from nine countries were frequent guests at his orgies.
In a broad interview with Polish media outlet Onet, David Manzheley, whose Friday night sex party at his apartment in Brussels led to the resignation of anti-LGBTQ MEP Jozsef Szajer, said lawmakers from nine countries were guests frequent at her sex parties.
“Many public figures from various countries attend my events, including Polish politicians,” Manzheley told Onet. “They have families and they have asked from the start to keep their participation in the gay orgy a secret.
Manzheley, who is allegedly wanted for fraud in Poland, which he denies, described himself as an “amateur organizing gay orgies with up to 100 people”. It has cut down on parties due to Belgium’s strict anti-COVID lockdown measures.
He also claimed to have hosted nine politicians from the Fidesz party of right-wing Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, which leads crusades against LGBTQ rights. Appeals to party headquarters for comment have not been answered. “We have politicians from Ukraine, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Spain,” Manzheley said. “However, the most frequent guests are Poles and Hungarians.”
Poland’s right-wing government, led by President Andrezj Duda, has become increasingly hostile to the country’s LGBT community, activists say.
Manzheley described his parties as adhering to the ‘bareback format’, which he said meant that no condoms were used among attendees, although he insisted all had been tested for the coronavirus . He said all guests should participate in what he called a “daddy orgy,” which meant that no one could be a spectator. No phone or photo is allowed.
He also claimed that Szajer, whom he said he first met last Friday night, invited him to his own sex party to be held on December 12, but has since canceled the event. The Daily Beast has not been able to independently confirm Manzheley’s claims.
In the interview released Thursday, he described how many guests thought the police were props for the rally and that “the attendees tried to undo the policeman’s pants,” which was met with violence by the cops. Manzheley believes the call for police came from a man who is having similar parties nearby. “He lives two blocks from me and is my competitor.”
Manzheley, who said he attended the Catholic University of Louvain where he is pursuing a doctorate, said his evenings were drug-free but guests often brought alcohol. He said that for small parties like the one he held on Friday, he used his apartment, but that he held larger events in rented houses where up to 100 men attended. “Women can only appear as observers or help me organize myself,” he told Onet. “Those willing can apply through a special app or write to a group open on the Internet. Sometimes I also organize secret meetings, just for my friends and their acquaintances.
Despite the high turnout from political types, Manzheley said he was not “particularly interested in politics.” He went on to say, “That is not the purpose of these events.”
He said political matters “would ruin the atmosphere of the orgy”.
