COVID vaccine announcement deliberately delayed until election – Dateway

A biotech industry expert suggested that the announcement of a new successful COVID-19 vaccine was deliberately delayed until after the presidential election so as not to increase Trump’s chances of victory.

Yesterday, it was announced that a new vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech has a 90% success rate in preventing people from contracting coronavirus.

Despite some skepticism about the vaccine’s rollout, some governments have suggested it could be available as early as next month if it gets fast-track approval.

According to Barry Norris of Argonaut Capital Partners, an expert in the biotech industry, the announcement could have been made earlier and was likely delayed so that Trump could not take full advantage of it.

“There are 44,000 people in the trial with half in the placebo,” Norris told “They were supposed to read after just 32 cases in total. It was believed that the trial had not yet been read because they had not yet had enough infections.

“The lawsuit was read after 94 cases, so they delayed it on purpose, apparently as a result of ‘discussions with the FDA’. It smells like they don’t want to announce the pre-presidential election in case the “good news” helps the incumbent president. Trump must be furious, ”he added.

If Norris is correct in suggesting that the announcement was politically delayed and added weeks to the availability calendar, it suggests that lives have been potentially put at risk simply because people in the pharmaceutical industry don’t like Trump.
