Anaheim’s Disneyland Resort, much of which has been closed since the March coronavirus pandemic outbreak, will serve as Orange County’s first super point-of-dispensing (POD) for COVID-19 vaccines.
The website is expected to go live this week, government officials said on Monday. Also on Monday, LA County announced that mass Covid-19 testing at Dodger Station will cease this week, making the sports arena a major vaccination site.
“Disneyland Resort, the largest employer in the heart of Orange County, has hosted the county’s first Super POD site and taken on a monumental role in our vaccination distribution process,” said Acting Chairman Andrew Do, First District, im Orange County announcement.
According to the county, the site can vaccinate thousands of residents every day.
