Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blasted Democrats and left-wing media on Monday, saying they had no right to “ lecture ” on the subject of President Trump’s refusal to give in.
“Let us not have lectures on how the president should immediately and gleefully accept the results of the preliminary elections from the same people who just spent four years refusing to accept the validity of the last election,” McConnell said.
“And whoever insinuated this would also be illegitimate if they lost again.” Let’s not have any conference on this topic from this contingent, ”McConnell added.

“At the end of August, Secretary Hillary Clinton said, quote: ‘Joe Biden should not concede in any way … I think this is going to go on forever, and … he will win if we don’t give up an inch,'” McConnell continued.
“In the same month, President Pelosi and the Democratic leader both said, quote, ‘[President Trump] must cheat to win. In October, as President Pelosi researched a conspiracy theory on the postal service, she recklessly stated, quote: “I have no doubt that the President … will lie, cheat and steal, to win this election,” he said. further urged McConnell, revealing the sheer hypocrisy of the Democrats.
“Does that sound like a chorus that has credibility to say that a few legal challenges from President Trump represent some kind of crisis?” questioned the Senate majority leader.
“At that point, last week, small business owners in America’s cities shut their windows in case President Trump appears to win and far-left crowds decide to resume their summer riots. Suffice it to say that a few legal inquiries from the President don’t exactly spell the end of the Republic, ”McConnell said.
President Trump’s legal team filed a lawsuit in United States District Court on Monday against Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar and several county electoral councils including Allegheny, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia.
The lawsuit claims that “the defendants, the very officials charged with ensuring the integrity of the elections in Pennsylvania, mismanaged the electoral process so badly that no one, neither the voters nor the campaign of President Trump, can have the slightest faith that their most sacred and fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States are protected. “
The lawsuit also notes that the election was “shrouded in secrecy,” alleging that “Democratic-dense counties violated the law by identifying postal ballots prior to election day that were flawed and allowed the voter to fix it to make sure their vote counts. ”
Other lawsuits have been filed in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada and Wisconsin.
