Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell has often taken photos of topless European “girls” at the Palm Beach sex trafficker’s mansion, according to the newly unsealed testimony from the financier’s former butler.
Juan Alessi, once manager of Epstein’s Florida home, testified in a 2016 deposition that Maxwell – who now faces trial for Epstein’s sex ring – was an avid photographer and that most of his images were of young, shirtless foreign women in Epstein’s orbit.
“I know she went out and took pictures in the pool, because later I would see them at the office or at home; and naked, 99.9% of the time, they were topless, ”said Alessi, who is referred to as“ John ”in the paper. “They were European girls.”
The testimony was part of a libel suit that Virginia Roberts Giuffre, a survivor of the Epstein trafficking scheme, brought against Maxwell in New York City in 2015. The case settled two years later, but numerous court cases have kept in the public register until Miami herald and Giuffre fought a legal battle to unseal them.
Just before Epstein’s death in August 2019, a cache of unsealed documents revealed further testimony from Alessi, who claimed to have seen “probably more than 100” girls arrive at Epstein’s home. Alessi said he found “vibrators or sex toys” while cleaning the upstairs massage room of the residence, and stored them in Maxwell’s closet with a “shiny black suit,” because he “knew that was where they kept them.”
Last month, Maxwell’s long-secret testimony in the case was made public as she faces charges of recruiting and grooming girls as young as 14 for Epstein.
When asked, Alessi said many European girls and some Americans would lounge topless by the pool. He said Maxwell kept his photos of the girls in a scrapbook he discovered while cleaning his office at Epstein.
“I have to put everything back in the house,” Alessi said. “Sometimes I would see these albums and there were pictures of girls at the pool.”
