Republican Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) claimed Monday evening that an Antifa mob had gathered outside his home and started attacking the property, threatening his petrified family who were inside.
Hawley said he wasn’t even home at the time.
“Tonight when I was in Missouri some Antifa bastards came to our house in Washington and threatened my wife and newborn daughter, who can’t travel,” Hawley tweeted.
“They shouted threats, vandalized and tried to open the door for us,” he added.
“Let me be clear: my family and I will not be intimidated by leftist violence,” Hawley urged.

Hawley, along with other GOP lawmakers, has declared his intention to challenge the certification of electoral votes for Joe Biden.

Antifa released a “statement” claiming that they had held a “vigil” outside the senator’s house. The statement was tweeted by Washington Post reporter Mike DeBonis, prompting Hawley to counter that the ‘vigil’ consisted of ‘shouting threats through megaphone, vandalizing property, hammering home doors and terrorizing innocent people and children. ”

DeBonis posted a link to a video of the incident. Police appear to have been present at the ‘vigil’ but did not intervene, although the crowd was on Hawley’s property, right outside his front door:
