Greece has recorded five cases of side effects – severe allergic reactions – caused by the coronavirus vaccine, according to the chair of the National Vaccination Committee Maria Theodoridou.
“There have been five cases of serious side effects associated with the anaphylactic reaction, and they have been treated effectively. There is another case, on which there are no definitive records regarding its link to vaccination, ”Theodoridou said Monday during a briefing.
Greece launched its mass vaccination campaign with other EU member states on December 27 using the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine.
The country also received the vaccines developed by AstraZeneca and Moderna.
To date, more than 730,000 vaccinations have already been performed, and some 243,600 people have received both vaccines.
