‘If Trump still has COVID, we shouldn’t be having a debate’ – Dateway

Joe Biden suggested Wednesday that the next presidential debate be called off if the president still has coronavirus.

“I think if he still has COVID we shouldn’t be having a debate,” Biden said during a campaign stop in Maryland.

“I think we’re going to have to follow very strict guidelines. Too many people have been infected and it is a very serious problem, ”Biden said.

“And so I’ll be guided by the guidelines from the Cleveland Clinic, and what the documents say is the right thing to do – if and when he shows up for debate,” Biden added.

Biden made the comments despite Trump’s doctor saying the president had “no symptoms” after being discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

“This morning, the president’s team of doctors met him at the residence. He had a restful first night at home and today he’s not reporting any symptoms, ”White House doctor Sean Conley said on Tuesday.

Trump said he was ready for the next debate and described his diagnosis of covid as “ a blessing from God ” on Wednesday.

“It was a blessing in disguise – I grabbed it, heard about this drug, said let me take it and it was amazing,” Trump said, swearing to seek clearances to emergency use for drugs.

In a video message, the president spoke about the pandemic, telling Americans, “You’re not going to pay for this. It is not your fault that this has happened. It was China’s fault. And China is going to pay a heavy price. It was China’s fault.
