After a hectic weekend where doctors lied about his condition, the president left Walter Reed “triumphantly” (these are ironic quotes). His message was clear: he had defeated the coronavirus. He had won. It was finished. It wasn’t much for his masterful potent genetics after all … and for every coronavirus treatment ever created.
There was a tweet for it (there still is). “I will be leaving the large Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 pm. Feel really good! Don’t be afraid of covid. Don’t let him rule your life. We have developed very good medicine and knowledge under the Trump administration. I feel better than 20 years ago.
The president had a message to his supporters – and naturally, it was the worst message he could have imagined concocting. The coronavirus was not a problem. Do not be afraid!
