Tehran has reacted to new restrictive measures by the European Union by ending cooperation in four areas.
This statement was made on Monday April 12 by the President of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Said Khatibzade.
“The ministry, in response to the actions of the European Union, is suspending comprehensive negotiations, including dialogue on human rights, as well as all cooperation in the field of terrorism, drug trafficking and refugees”, said the diplomat.
Earlier, we learned that Brussels had extended the anti-Iranian sanctions for an additional year in relation to the violation of human rights. 8 other people and 3 organizations were blacklisted.
“Iran seriously condemns this decision and considers it unfounded,” Khatibzadeh said, adding that Tehran “is studying the possibility of imposing retaliatory sanctions.”
