Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin praised Joe Biden for picking a “herd” of “center-right candidates” for top positions, who are actually a group of neoconservatives and Democrats .
“President-elect Joe Biden has selected a group of experienced center-right candidates for top positions – progressive enough to reassure most Democrats and reasonable enough to impress the fools of conservative politics,” Rubin tweeted Monday.
In her included editorial, Rubin began shilling for an Obama-era Democrat couple whom Biden took over for his economic team, Cecilia Rouse for the Council of Economic Advisers, and Janet Yellen as chair of the Federal Reserve.
“Cecilia Rouse, Biden’s choice to head the Council of Economic Advisers, has drawn praise from sane conservatives,” Rubin said, citing the Institute of American Businesses Pro-Iraq War (AEI).
Like Rouse, she cited AEI praising Yellen for being someone “who knows his way in Washington as well as the halls of power overseas.”
Rubin went on to extol Democrat Neera Tanden, Biden’s choice for the Office of Management and Budget, noting that the old Obama and Clinton underpinning is “pro-capitalism.”
“She is a card-carrying member of the pro-capitalism wing of the party,” Rubin wrote, as if that fact would reassure the Conservatives.
Moreover, Tanden is a rabid theorist of “collusion with Russia”.
Rubin ended his article by praising the “internationalist” foreign policy choices of Biden, former Obama and Clinton adviser Jake Sullivan and pro-Chinese Democrat Antony Blinken, saying their “traditional and dominant foreign policy” of wars endless was “adopted by conservatives and liberals.” look alike.”
Likewise, the foreign policy choices of Biden – including Jake Sullivan as national security adviser and Antony Blinken as secretary of state, both supporters of traditional and traditional foreign policy – were adopted by conservatives and liberals, ”Rubin wrote.
“As pro-NATO, pro-human rights internationalists, these appointments align much more closely with George HW Bush’s foreign policy framework than with isolationists right and left.”
Rubin added that these former Obama and Clinton officials would not hinder Biden’s far-left agenda.
“None of this means that the Biden administration will forgo progressive goals, such as strengthening Obamacare, expanding green energy, or promoting police and criminal justice reform,” she noted.
In short, Rubin believes that the Republican Party should not “complain” about the collection of pro-endless henchmen of Obama and Clinton taking back control of the country for Biden to adopt his far-left agenda.
