“How is everyone feeling relaxed tonight?” Jimmy Kimmel asked at the top of his final monologue before Election Day 2020. “What a great time to be alone in a house filled with giant bags of mini candy bars. The host said he felt it was “somewhere between Christmas Eve and the night before a liver transplant”.
“It’s really amazing,” Kimmel said. “The fact that people are getting into their businesses for an election should alarm us. If anyone needed more proof that they haven’t made America great yet, there’s plywood in the windows of the Wetzel pretzels in front of us. And later, he added, “Right now, they’re putting up a huge protective fence around the White House in case things get crazy. It took four years, but Trump finally had his wall built.
But what alarmed Kimmel even more were the blatant threats to democracy from the President of the United States in the days and hours leading up to his election.
First, the host noted that the FBI is currently investigating the disturbing incident in Texas where a trailer of Trump trucks allegedly attempted to roll a Biden field bus off the freeway. “Even though the words ‘No Malarkey’ were clearly printed on the bus, they still insisted on going into malarkey,” he joked.
“And you’d think that would be too much even for Donald Trump,” Kimmel continued. “Well, it turns out not. In fact, he encouraged them to do more.
After quoting Trump’s tweet in which he said “these patriots did nothing wrong” and that the FBI and the Justice Department “should instead investigate the terrorists, anarchists and ANTIFA agitators , who are running and torching our democrat-run cities and hurting our people. ! Kimmel said, “That sounds like a glimpse of what we can expect from him over the next few weeks.”
“He doesn’t care about this country,” Kimmel said. “If he loses, he wants us to shoot our heads.”
“Trump wraps up his campaign complaining and whining like a dripping orange bitch,” the host added later, just at a recent rally in Pennsylvania, the president “warned his supporters of the very real possibility and very dangerous that every vote can count. “
As Trump openly attacked the Supreme Court for ruling in favor of counting postal ballots, Kimmel summed up the president’s message as follows: “If he wins, it was legitimate. If he loses, he has been rigged.
“You wouldn’t take that from the referee at your kid’s t-ball game,” he concluded. “Why would you want that in a President of the United States?”
