Joy Behar mocks Meghan McCain in ‘The View’, says ‘I didn’t miss you’

It didn’t take any time for Meghan McCain to start fighting with Joy Behar when she returned from maternity leave this week. But things got really bad Tuesday when McCain tried to joke that her co-host was “missing” her and Behar had none of it.

During a discussion about the future of the GOP after Trump’s departure, Behar said that on one side there was the Republican Party and on the other the “seditionists” who supported the president’s attempts to reverse his electoral loss. She compared it to Democrats, who have the usual struggle between progressives and moderates. “The Republican Party has a lot more problems right now because you really have traitors,” she said.

“I hope you are joking?!” McCain interrupted him, pointing out the exaggerated conflicts between Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“Excuse me, have I finished?” I’m not finished! ”Behar retaliated as McCain accused him of pushing a“ completely inaccurate ”account. When Behar continued to complain that she was speaking, McCain tried to defuse the tension by saying: “You missed me so much, Joy. I missed you so much when I was on maternity leave. You failed to fight with me.”

“I haven’t. I haven’t missed you,” Behar said with a straight face. “Zero.”

At first McCain seemed to think she was joking, but when she realized that this comment was very serious, she replied, “You know, it’s so mean. I was teasing because you said something rude. As moderator Whoopi Goldberg did her best to stop it, McCain added once again, “This is so rude!”

The segment only descended into chaos from there until Goldberg was forced to end it by telling viewers, “We, believe it or not, we’ll be back right away.”
