The murders in PembrokeshireLuke Evans’ drama about a murder investigation in Wales has given UK broadcaster ITV some of its best drama ratings in years.
Prepared by Bodyguard and Exercise of duty Producer World Productions, the three-part series, made its debut on Monday with 6.3 million viewers on the main battlefield at 9 p.m., according to overnights.tv’s overnight numbers.
The murders in Pembrokeshire comfortably won its seat and, according to ITV, it was the network’s biggest new drama series since then The Durrells in April 2016. It was also the biggest audience for any ITV drama since then Vera in 2018.
Evans plays the cop Steve Wilkins in the drama that depicts the pursuit of a cold-blooded serial killer and is based on a book about real crime Catch the Bullseye Killer, written by Steve Wilkins, Senior Investigating Officer, and Jonathan Hill, Journalist for ITV News.
The show continues on ITV tonight. It is co-produced by BritBox, which has the right to premier the series in the US and Canada.
