Man Bullhorns Austin Mayor who told residents to ‘stay home’ while on vacation – Dateway

A frustrated Austin resident made bull horns outside Mayor Steve Adler’s home on Wednesday night after it was revealed the Democratic politician was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas as he told Austin residents to stay at home.

“Cabo Adler, we want you out of your office,” the man shouts protesting outside the W Hotel in downtown Austin.

“Hi Mayor Adler, how was Mexico?” he asks, adding, “Can we still have Thanksgiving or Christmas?”

The man’s protest comes after Adler apologized to the city, claiming he suffered an ‘error in judgment’ when he filmed a message to Austin residents telling them to stay home , while vacationing in Cabo after her daughter’s wedding last month.

“We have to stay home if you can,” Adler told the Cabo Austinites. “We have to keep the numbers low. Now is not the time to relax. “

On Wednesday, after his hypocrisy made national headlines, Adler apologized, saying:

“I regret this trip. I would not travel now, I would not travel on Thanksgiving and I would not do it on Christmas… But my fear is that this trip, even having taken place for a safer time, could be used by some as justification for behavior at risk. In retrospect, and even though he didn’t violate any orders, he set a bad example for which I apologize. “

The mayor’s apology followed criticism from national politicians, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., who also held the feet of other hypocritical Democrats to the fire on their do-as-I- behavior of not saying what I’m doing.
