Police have arrested a man suspected of assaulting an elderly Trump supporter outside a polling station in Barnstable, Massachusetts, according to reports.

Bladen Tisdell, 32, has been charged with assault and battery and bodily harm to a person over the age of 60 and disorderly conduct.

Barnstable Police arrived at the scene at a polling station at the Osterville Fire Station around 2 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call reporting a fight initiated by Tisdell.

“A 69-year-old man told police that a young man stopped his truck next to him as the victim held a Trump 2020 sign,” CBS Boston reports.

“The young man allegedly grabbed the panel and threw it to the ground, then pushed the man with both hands and pushed him back screaming.

The victim was not injured during the altercation.

Tisdell reportedly fled the scene in a van but was arrested shortly after.
