Mueller’s deputy reveals where special adviser came short

The hindsight is still 2020, and in this case Andrew Weissman is pretty sure where Mueller and his team have failed. He was part of the team that investigated Enron. He personally promoted former FBI attorney Lisa Page and was deputy to Special Advisor Robert Mueller in the collusion hearings with Russia.

He wrote a book about the experience, but came over to the members-only final episode of The New Anormal to share the idea with co-host Molly Jong-Fast.

Ultimately, “we didn’t have sufficient evidence that the Trump campaign people were trained not to accept anything from strangers,” Weissman says.
