NPR refuses to cover up the Hunter Biden scandal and calls the story a “distraction,” according to a statement from the network’s editor.
“We don’t want to waste our time on stories that aren’t really stories, and we don’t want to waste listeners and readers’ time on stories that are pure distractions,” the editor said. Terence Samuel in a network newsletter. “And frankly that’s where we ended up, it was… a political event and we decided to treat it that way.
The same newsletter claimed the New York Post’s The investigation into the Biden family has raised “many red flags” and reports that Russia “is working overtime” to keep the story in the spotlight.
“Intelligence officials warn Russia has been working overtime to keep Hunter Biden’s story in the spotlight. Even though Russia cannot be positively connected to this information, the story of how Trump’s associates Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani entered a copy of this computer hard drive has not been verified. and looks suspicious. And if that story could be verified, the NY Post did no forensic work to convince consumers that the emails and photos that formed the basis of their report have not been altered. ” – NPR
Earlier this week, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe made it clear that the Hunter Biden laptop scandal was not part of a “Russian disinformation campaign.”
“Let me be clear. The intelligence community doesn’t believe it because there is no intelligence to back it up,” Ratcliffe told Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo. “We haven’t shared any information with the President Schiff or any other congressman who claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign. ”
“It just isn’t true.”
Ratcliffe criticized Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) And other opportunists who use the intelligence community to take advantage of any “political narrative.”
“And that’s exactly what I said if I would quit when I became director of national intelligence, and these are people who use the intelligence community to leverage a political narrative,” Ratcliffe continued. “And in this case, apparently President Schiff wants anything against his favorite political candidate to be seen as non-real and as using the intelligence community or attempting to use the intelligence community to say that he doesn’t there is nothing to see here.
“Don’t drag the intelligence community into this. Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign. And I think it’s clear the Americans know that.
Already, calls to defund NPR are fashionable on social networks:
As of this writing, President Trump has yet to weigh in on the controversy.
