In an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” which aired Sunday, former President Barack Obama took a photo against President Donald Trump, comparing him to a dictator.
Obama suggested that there had been a “feeling” during Trump’s presidency that he would “do anything to stay in power,” including killing people and cracking down on journalists. He added that Joe Biden, who was declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election by the media, must signal to the world that this is no longer the case.
“I think there has been this feeling over the last few years that literally anything is permitted and justified to gain power,” Obama advised. “And it’s not unique to the United States. There are strong men and dictators in the world who think I can do anything to stay in power. I can kill people. I can throw them in jail. I can organize bogus elections. I can suppress the journalists. But that’s not what we’re supposed to be. And one of the signals that I think Joe Biden has to send to the world is, no, these values that we preached and believed in and subscribe to, we still believe.
America’s Divided States find themselves at a crossroads with corporate news media and around half of the country demanding the legitimately elected president step down while the other half demand accountability for fraud charges . What will become of our Republic?
