A former Wisconsin state judge, who now represents the Trump campaign in litigation in that state, told Congress justice was not being served due to high pressure intimidation tactics by the part of the radical ideological left.
James Troupis said he believed the intimidation applied by the radical left had prevented lawyers and judges from accepting and hearing cases of electoral fraud.
“We have to recognize that the justice system has been deeply intimidated by the left, just as lawyers have been intimidated,” Troupis told the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs on Wednesday. “And that’s a sad state of affairs.”
Troupis was just one of the witnesses who appeared before the committee to testify to the irregularities and fraud they witnessed in several places during the general election of November 3, 2020.
Explaining why he decided to represent the Trump campaign in their challenge to the election results, Troupis said he believed many high-end law firms were refusing to participate for fear of retaliation from those on the left. .
“One of the reasons I was called is that virtually every major law firm in this country and in this city has refused to represent the president,” Troupis said. “Not because of the lack of merit of its claims – we have certainly shown that there is merit – but because of the culture of cancellation.”
“Due to the environment created by the left which has intimidated the lawyers so that they cannot be here, they are not there. They don’t come from the giant law firms, precisely because they’ve been ordered by their board committees and others, “You can’t take these cases. The reason you can’t take these cases is that our clients, or the Democratic Party, or the incoming administration, will remember it and hold it against you.
Troupis added: “As a former judge, I was so irritated by this.”
Other lawyers who have come forward to represent the president and his campaign said they were harassed and / or threatened without mercy after deciding to take up election matters.
Senior Trump campaign legal counsel Jenna Ellis said she had received “hundreds” of threats since learning about election matters.
