A press release from the Trump campaign legal team released Tuesday announced that the state legislatures of Pennsylvania, Arizona and Michigan would begin holding public hearings on voter fraud starting Wednesday.
“The first hearing,” says the press release, “hosted by the Pennsylvania State Senate, will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, November 25, in Gettysburg, PA, where each participating senator will make a five-minute opening statement followed by ‘testimony from witnesses who filed affidavits attesting to the 2020 electoral fraud. Tomorrow’s hearing will also include a presentation by former New York City mayor and personal lawyer to President Trump, Rudy Giuliani.
The Arizona legislature will hold its hearing starting Monday, November 30, and the Michigan legislature will begin on Tuesday, December 1.
“It is in everyone’s best interests to have full control over electoral irregularities and fraud,” Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani said. “And the only way to do that is to organize public hearings, with witnesses, videos, photos and other evidence of illegality of the November 3 elections.”
Senior Legal Counsel and Trump Campaign Attorney Jenna Ellis added: “We are pleased that the state legislatures of Pennsylvania, Arizona and Michigan are calling hearings to consider the November 3 presidential election. There have been serious irregularities, we have evidence of fraud in a number of states, and it is important that all Americans have confidence in our electoral process. All we wanted from the start was to count every legal vote and disregard every illegal vote. “
Explaining why legislatures meet, the Trump campaign says, “State legislatures are uniquely qualified and positioned to hold hearings on electoral irregularities and fraud before voters are chosen. As stipulated in Article 2, Section 1.2 of the United States Constitution, state legislatures are the only ones empowered to choose their representatives to the electoral college, which is an essential safeguard against electoral fraud and electoral manipulation. “
