Police funeral alarm clock with over 200 guests, hotel manager fined £ 10,000 – Dateway

It’s the shocking moment for police in a funeral raid of 200 people for breaking coronavirus regulations – fining the hotel manager £ 10,000.

West Midlands Police officers entered the grounds of the Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel in Solihull after receiving nine calls complaining about the September 25 mass rally.

Police body camera footage shows officers walking through a packed marquee before entering the reception area and demanding to speak to the hotel manager who was not on site.

Police forces later said this was the first maximum fine they had imposed since the Prime Minister introduced a series of measures to crack down on Covid-19 last month.
