The United States Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to overturn the November presidential election results in favor of Donald Trump on Friday night. More than 100 Republican lawmakers had joined the trial, as had 17 other states and the president. So far, all lawsuits to overturn the certified election result by alleging widespread electoral fraud have failed. Former Vice President Joe Biden won the election.
“Texas has not shown a legally recognizable interest in the way another state conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot,” the majority opinion read.
