When will the light of love become strong enough to soften this darkness of hate,
Because I wonder how many more lives must be taken, how many more hearts must be broken before the world sees a change.
Are we so used to the scenes on our screens of another act of mass violence?
Has it made us immune to the tears, the cries of broken hearts that we accept daily violence as our norm?
Will we wait until mass violence occurs in our own communities to realize that it has gotten out of hand?
The world really underestimates the power of love.
Love can move mountains,
If only people would show more kindness,
They say only light can drive out darkness,
If we all raised our light of love, there would be no more darkness of hate.
When will the light of love become strong enough to soften this darkness of hate,
Because I wonder how many more lives have to be taken, how many more hearts must be broken before the world sees a change.
