Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called the discussion “the big reset” a “conspiracy theory” despite defending it two months ago.
“The big reset” started trending on Twitter Monday after a United Nations conference call Trudeau attended in September received new attention.
During his presentation, Trudeau said the coronavirus pandemic had “provided an opportunity for a reset,” almost accurately mirroring the “Great Reset” rhetoric adopted by Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum and other world leaders.

However, after Trudeau received criticism from Conservative MPs, he dismissed the issue as a “conspiracy theory.”
Denying that the big reset was part of a “big plot”, the Prime Minister claimed it was simply “misinformation”.
“We are in a time of anxiety where people are looking for reasons for the things that are happening to them, the difficult time we find ourselves in,” Trudeau said. “It’s nice to be able to try and find someone to blame, something to report, something to get angry about.”
“I think we see a lot of people falling down begging for misinformation, if Conservative MPs want to start talking about conspiracy theories, well that’s their choice. I will stay focused on helping Canadians get through this … and making the world we leave for our children even better than the one we inherited from our parents.

As we pointed out earlier, mainstream media like the New York Times still assert that the “big reset” is a “conspiracy theory” even as world leaders openly announce it.
Indeed, former Secretary of State John Kerry attended a recent roundtable at the World Economic Forum in which he said a big reset was urgently needed to stop the rise of populism.
WEF founder Klaus Schwab also recently published a book titled ‘COVID-19: The Great Reset’ in which he said that while the pandemic does not pose an ‘existential threat’ it should be exploited to completely revamp the world and usher in a technocratic transhumanist dystopia.
