Trump adviser Jason Miller attacks ‘disgusting’ Governor Whitmer, target of kidnapping plot

Trump’s senior campaign adviser, Jason Miller, slammed Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the target of a recent kidnapping plan by members of the extremist militia, shortly after his press conference Thursday after midday on the foiled plot, claiming that she had “hatred in her heart” towards President Donald Trump.

Federal prosecutors announced Thursday that six men have been arrested and charged with conspiring with a violent extremist group to kidnap Whitmer and overthrow the government. “Several members have spoken of murdering ‘tyrants’ or ‘taking’ a sitting governor,” an FBI agent wrote in the affidavit. “The group decided that they needed to increase their numbers and encouraged themselves to talk to their neighbors and spread their message.”

During his afternoon press, Whitmer targeted the President’s fiery rhetoric and sympathetic comments towards far-right extremists, saying he “stirs up mistrust” and stimulates hate groups and white nationalists. .

The president has also repeatedly launched attacks on Whitmer, particularly on her coronavirus restriction orders and guidelines. When the right-wing armed militias – following Trump’s call toLIBERATE MICHIGAN– basically occupied the state capital, the president called on Whitmer to meet them and “make a deal.”

“Last week the President of the United States stood before the American people and refused to condemn white supremacists and hate groups like these two Michigan militias. Stand back and wait, he told them, ”she said. “Back off and stay there. Hate groups heard the president’s words not as a rebuke but as a rallying cry, a call to action.

Immediately after the press conference, Miller was interviewed on Fox News and quickly said it was a “horrible thing” for any elected official to be targeted by a crime of this nature.

“I am happy that we have such good law enforcement. We are supporting law enforcement and all investigators to make sure they are able to stop things like this, ”he added before turning to Whitmer’s stern rebuke of Trump .

“Those are pretty shameful comments from Governor Whitmer, because how can you even go from a moment of unity to an attack on President Trump, I thought that was completely ridiculous,” said himself. he exclaimed. “If we’re talking about hate – then Governor Whitmer, go look at yourself in the mirror!” I mean, the fact that she wakes up every day with such hatred in her heart towards President Trump.

“President Trump is the one who condemns these radical groups, whether on the right or on the left,” he continued. “We saw him two weeks ago, when he was in Atlanta, present his Platinum plan as his contract with Black America where he labeled both the KKK terrorist groups and the anti-IFA. We saw him do it again last week when he was on Sean Hannity’s show, so President Trump led from the front lines.

Fox News presenter Bill Hemmer did not respond to Miller’s remarks, instead asking him to respond to the charges against the militia group and other issues Whitmer discussed.

“We are all united, we oppose anyone who conspires to cause such hatred and violence,” Miller said. “There is no place for it in American society in any way.”

“But why Governor Whitmer would go and start attacking President Trump, that’s right – people can see through,” he added. “They can see that Governor Whitmer is completely bogus and that it is just disgusting that she takes a moment of unity to attack the President.

Turning his attention to the chair retiring from the next debate, Hemmer simply noted, “Let’s see where this goes.”
