At least three other insiders in Trump’s world have tested positive for the coronavirus just weeks after the White House and the GOP were crippled by a major outbreak that trapped the president.
Corey Lewandowski, the Trump adviser who filed false lawsuits over illegal voting and voter fraud, tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, The New York Times and several other points of sale reported.
Republican National Committee chief of staff Richard Walters has also contracted the virus, NBC reports. And longtime GOP strategist and lobbyist Jeff Miller, who was in the White House on election night, also tested positive, sources told Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs.
On Saturday, an unmasked Lewansowki appeared alongside Rudy Giuliani and other Trump campaign figures in a bizarre event outside of Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia.
Days earlier, he had shouted into a megaphone alongside Eric Trump, Lara Trump, Giuliani and Florida lawyer Pam Bondi during a press briefing. outside of a Philly count site.
He was at the White House election night which is emerging as a mass-market event. Several other party members have since tested positive, including White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Trump Campaign Legal Assistant David Bossie, White House Political Director Brian Jack, HUD Secretary Ben Carson and several assistants.
