Trump fires election security official who contradicted him over election fraud



US President Donald Trump has sacked Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Christopher Krebs. It comes after Krebs vouched for the integrity of recent polls and dismissed allegations of voter fraud. “ Chris Krebs’ recent statement on the security of the 2020 elections was very inaccurate, in that there were massive irregularities and fraud – including dead people voting, ballot observers banned in places of voting, “problems” in the voting machines that changed votes from Trump to Biden, late voting and many more. Therefore, with immediate effect, Chris Krebs was fired as director of the Agency for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security, ” Trump tweeted. ‘Honored to serve. We did it well. Defend Today, Secure Tomorrow, ” Krebs tweeted after his sacking. The sacking of the top US election security official comes a week after Trump’s sacking of Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
