Trump fires top cybersecurity official Chris Krebs via tweet for debunking his ‘rigged’ election demands

President Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to tweet his senior cybersecurity official for failing to follow his “rigged” election speech.

“Chris Krebs’ recent statement on the security of the 2020 elections was very inaccurate, in that there were massive irregularities and fraud – including dead people voting, ballot observers banned from polling places , “problems” in the voting machines that changed votes from Trump to Biden, late voting and many more. Therefore, with immediate effect, Chris Krebs was fired as director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, ”said Trumps.

Krebs, who had set up a webpage to counter disinformation about election security, apparently expected to be fired after becoming one of the few members of the Trump administration to challenge his claims.
