A Wall Street Journal report claims President Trump is considering starting his own political party and calling it the “ Patriot Party. ”
The Journal claims Trump discussed the idea with aides, who leaked the details.
Trump is said to be considering dropping out of the Republican Party, following what he believes is a lack of support from GOP leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Reports also claimed that members of Trump’s own cabinet, including Vice President Mike Pence, chose to attend Joe Biden’s inauguration at the military-style sendoff event later planned by Trump. during the day at Joint Base Andrews.
In his farewell speech, Trump told his supporters that “the movement we have started is just beginning.”
“With millions of hardworking patriots across this country, we have built the greatest political movement in the history of our country,” he added.
Trump also said he was proud to be the first president in decades not to start any war:

Trump further noted that his administration “wiped out ISIS’s caliphate and ended the miserable life of its founder and leader, al Baghdadi.”
He also said: “We have stood up to the oppressive Iranian regime and killed the world’s greatest terrorist, the Iranian butcher Qasem Soleimani.
For the most part, Trump focused on his early American policy, noting that “What has always enabled America to triumph and triumph over the great challenges of the past is a steadfast and unashamed belief in the nobility of our country and its unique goal in history. We must never lose this conviction. ”
“We must never give up our belief in America,” he added.
The president issued a stern warning that freedom of speech is under attack.
“In the center of [American] Heritage is also a strong belief in free speech, free speech and open debate, ”Trump explained, adding:“ Only if we forget who we are and how we got here, could we allow political censorship and blacklisting in America. It’s not even thinkable. Ending free and open debate violates our core values and most enduring traditions. ”
He continued, “In America, we don’t insist on absolute compliance or enforce rigid orthodoxies and punitive speech codes. We just don’t do that. America is not a shy nation of tame souls who need to be safe and protected from those with whom we disagree. It’s not who we are. It will never be who we are.
