In one of his last acts as president, Donald Trump is set to declassify “ bombshell ” evidence linking the Wuhan Institute of Virology to the COVID-19 outbreak, according to a report.
Trump’s outgoing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo plans to stage an ‘intervention’, highlighting evidence the coronavirus has leaked from the Chinese lab, and is also expected to accuse the World Health Organization of helping China to cover the disaster, reports the Daily Mail.
Senior Washington officials have reportedly claimed that Pompeo would present concrete evidence that the virus was not transmitted naturally from bats, pangolins or any other animal to humans, but originated from inside the lab.
Pompeo will also reveal links between the lab and the Chinese Communist Army and claim that military experiments were being carried out there.
Regarding the WHO, Pompeo should also note that the organization has still failed to initiate an investigation and that his team, which is expected to arrive in China in a few days, still has no plans to ‘investigate the lab.
British government sources have also confirmed that gossip has increased about Pompeo and Trump planning the reveal.
Whistleblower exposes latest scandal surrounding China’s cover-up of the coronavirus outbreak and its origins.
On Monday, the White House issued a statement noting: “The world cannot continue to pay a high price for its naivety and complicity in Beijing’s irresponsible and nefarious practices – that it ends the rule of law in Hong Kong or that he does not cooperate with health officials on the pandemic. “
“The United States is examining other options to respond,” the statement further notes.
As we reported last week, senior U.S. national security officials still believe the most credible theory about the origin of COVID-19 is that it escaped from the Wuhan laboratory.
U.S. intelligence was reportedly bolstered by the testimony of a whistleblower who previously worked in the Wuhan lab, now providing information to the U.S. team.
It had previously appeared that the Wuhan laboratory had kept a sample of the coronavirus that was 96.2% identical to Covid-19 for nearly a decade. This has sparked speculation about the origin of the virus.
Several prominent researchers and scientists have also noted that the laboratory should be studied in light of this fact.
Furthermore, previous reports have suggested that the Institute took a shipment of some of the world’s deadliest pathogens just weeks before the coronavirus outbreak. It is also known that the laboratory manipulated natural pathogens and mutated them to become more infectious.
Intelligence figures around the world have also called for an investigation into the Wuhan lab.
Chinese virologists recently fled Hong Kong and effectively defected west, with evidence against the Chinese Communist Party regarding its role in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The WHO had previously complained that it was “ not invited ” by China to investigate the outbreak and has been continuously criticized for substantiating the Communist Party’s talking points.
In August, the WHO announced that it would not be visiting the Wuhan Institute of Virology during its investigation into the origins of the coronavirus, despite the evidence set out above.
The health organization then turned around and said it would visit the lab after all, after a violent reaction.
However, the investigation is still not underway, nearly a year after the start of the epidemic, and there is still no mention of the laboratory visit in the WHO itinerary of its next visit to China.
Wuhan lab director complained that scientists at the facility have become scapegoats in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and that the lab has been unfairly erected at the center of dangerous ‘conspiracy theories’ , following the suggestions of the American intelligence services that it could have been the origin of the viral spread.
