Vaccinations have started in hospitals, clinics, and drugstores across America. In accordance with guidelines from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each state reserves initial doses of the two-dose vaccine for frontline health workers, residents and nursing home staff – populations that are particularly vulnerable to the virus due, respectively, to their exposure to infected persons and to co-morbidities.
